Anita Maina

Anita is a dedicated Licensed Social Worker with over 15 years of experience. Anita is passionate about supporting children, particularly in educational settings. As a School Social Worker, she has worked with students in K-12th grade, providing behavioral health services, fostering a positive school culture, and building community partnerships.
Beyond her clinical role, Anita has been instrumental in various school initiatives. She has collaborated with various administration teams to implement restorative justice practices and champion social-emotional learning. Additionally, Anita has developed and taught a comprehensive Middle School Skills curriculum and served as a liaison to the PTA.
Anita’s commitment to her community, her passion for working with children, and her unwavering faith have shaped her into a compassionate and dedicated individual. Anita is honored to work at Saint Peter Claver Catholic School.
Anita holds a Bachelors’ degree from James Madison University and a Masters degree from George Mason University. In her personal life, Anita is a devout Catholic who finds inspiration in her faith. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, and running with her husband.
