SUMMER VACATION - What's THAT?

Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall, school staff are always very hard at work getting ready for the kids to come back to school.

These are our two ‘quiet’ weeks now that PowerUP Prep summer school is finished (we can’t wait to do it all again next year) and the teachers don’t come back until August 1st and the kids August 8th.

But ‘quiet’ is quite the misnomer.

This place is hopping with activity as administration and staff are in high gear prepping for all the amazing changes that are coming to our humble school in the next few months.

First of all, there are going to be a lot of new faces around the school as additional staff are being brought in to double down on bringing individual attention to help all our students conquer learning loss because of COVID. More on that later. Next, all of our teachers are being given new technology and new teaching aids and supplies to help them deliver high-caliber instruction to our students.

Next, we have added a layer of infection protection in all classrooms and communal spaces by installing hospital-grade UV light sanitization for the health and wellness of everyone on our campus.

There is a lot more to come on this project over the next two years and we are really excited to see the changes it will bring to our school, and more importantly, to our students.
